  • No more dead-end PoCs: how to generate real ROI with AI and Microsoft

Today, the Microsoft ecosystem is present in virtually all of our clients' stacks: Windows still powers nearly 70% workstations worldwide [1], Microsoft 365 exceeds 430 million paid seats [2], and 82% companies are running at least one workload on Azure [3].

In our daily practice with major accounts and mid-sized companies, this observation is verified in the field: the Microsoft ecosystem is already present in virtually all of our clients, including those historically built on Google Workspace, where the two environments de facto coexist.

Now that this common ground has been established, the challenge for decision-makers in large accounts and mid-market companies is shifting elsewhere: under market and competitive pressure, They need to move fast on AI and, in this context, launch several initiatives and PoCs in parallel, across disjoint scopes, without always truly assessing the value generated or the return on investment for each one. A study by MIT published in the summer of 2025 supports this view: 95% of generative AI pilot projects in companies are said to have no measurable impact [4].

Faced with this finding, our conviction is that technology is not the right entry point. As a consulting firm, our role is to understand your business challenges and scenarios before proposing Microsoft technological solutions that address them. It is this method—business before technology—that allows us to build AI strategies with you that deliver a quantifiable ROI, rather than just piling up new PoCs.

1. AI-Ready Data: The Essential Foundation for AI

AI is never anything more than a reflection of the quality of your data : Without accessible, classified, and managed data, no AI scenario can produce sustainable results. In fact, Gartner predicts that 60% of AI projects will be abandoned by the end of 2026 due to a lack of sufficiently reliable data [5].

Before looking into AI, it is therefore essential to work on data accessibility, classification, and governance.

This is where the Silamir approach differs We audit your data flows through the lens of Process Mining to identify silos, redundancies, and low-value pipelines, and lay the groundwork for a new governance model. This data foundation is the prerequisite for your AI scenarios to unlock the full value of the data, generate measurable ROI, and target truly relevant use cases.

Once this foundation is in place, we deploy a Microsoft Fabric infrastructure designed to meet this need from end to end: the platform aggregates all the services required to manage an end-to-end data platform, right down to next-generation Power BI dashboards to monitor costs and usage in real time. All while ensuring data security and compliance via Microsoft Purview.

This approach is illustrated by one of our clients in the Private Equity sector:

A company with several billion euros in assets under management and a portfolio of dozens of investments saw its unified data platform—built on Microsoft Fabric and Power BI—replace a fragmented landscape of more than seven legacy tools with a centralized, governed data model, resulting in more reliable financial and ESG reporting within three months.

2. From Automation to Hyperautomation: Digitize Your Processes with the Power Platform

Collaboration platforms are deployed today at almost all of our clients, that is no longer the issue. The real issue now is to digitize business processes that remain manual or poorly equipped.

This digitalization takes two forms, often complementary :

  • The first is pure automation, for which our experts rely on Process Mining mapping of truly time-consuming tasks, and then deploy low-code/no-code workflows from the Power Platform to automate them.
  • The second approach goes a step further by combining this automation with new AI-driven use cases.

It is precisely on this second point that Microsoft stands out : The Power Platform natively integrates an AI layer (Copilot Studio) that enables the creation of business agents directly connected to deployed automations, with no tooling gap between pure automation and new AI-driven use cases.

We also develop agile business applications using Power Apps, making it easier to reinvent processes through AI-driven automation.

This approach is exemplified by one of our clients in the insurance industry:

A leading insurance brokerage firm (approximately 1 billion euros in revenue, 5,000 employees) identified, through process mining of its claims management processes, a time savings of 10.9 % for the entire team through targeted automation: automatic creation of files covered by the IRSI agreement, and generation of follow-up reminders to adjusters and clients. A comprehensive assessment was completed in four weeks, from data receipt to reporting to senior management.

3. From the Isolated Agent to the Agent Factory: The New Agent-Based Paradigm

Agent-based AI has changed in nature. It is no longer a matter of deploying a single agent to address an isolated need, but rather of enabling multiple agents to collaborate with one another: sharing context, transferring tasks, and orchestrating end-to-end workflows. The real challenge, therefore, is no longer the agent itself, but the coordination between agents. An OutSystems study of nearly 1,900 IT managers worldwide confirms this: 96% of companies already use AI agents, but 94% are concerned about the uncontrolled proliferation of these agents [6].

At Silamir, we've adjusted our approach accordingly, we no longer provide a single agent to address a specific need; instead, we design agent factories capable of collaborating to meet complex needs. This shift is accompanied by a change in tools: from the targeted deployment of Copilot M365 on Teams, Word, and Outlook, to more advanced agent-based scenarios built on Copilot Studio or Azure AI Foundry, and, on the Dynamics 365 side, on Copilot for Sales and Service.

Concretely, this means that we must no longer think agent by agent, but build a global agentic strategy: agent governance, accessibility and security of the data they handle, control over interactions between autonomous agents, and cost control. This last point is far from trivial: according to the FinOps Foundation (State of FinOps 2026), 73% of AI costs currently exceed planned budgets [7].

It is precisely on this ground that Silamir makes the difference. Our consulting expertise enables us to define the right agent-based strategy—governance, security, and budget control—before implementing it using Microsoft technologies, rather than the other way around.
For example, an agent factory dedicated to customer service, where each agent handles a step in the processing journey, makes it possible to reduce a processing time or an irritant rate identified beforehand.

This approach is exemplified by one of our clients in the real estate financing sector:

A leading French real estate development finance firm (with approximately 12 billion euros in assets under management) deployed eleven AI agents built with Copilot Studio, Power Apps, and Microsoft Graph, which went live in six weeks, to draft investment memos for the Front Office—resulting in a 40% time savings on drafting and a return on investment of €11 earned for every €1 in operating costs, achieved in five months.

4. The «Salamir Difference»: The Fusion of Business and Technology to Drive Your Growth

Silamir supports its clients' business operations: Our consultants understand your business challenges before they even talk about technology, and it is this business understanding that then guides the selection of the right technological building blocks—never the other way around.

This approach is coupled with technical teams capable of deploying the entire Microsoft suite – Fabric, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry – as well as partner technologies that complement this ecosystem: Celonis for Process Intelligence, Pigment for EPM, and UiPath for automation. Silamir is one of the few partners in France structured to deliver this dual promise of business consulting and end-to-end technical execution at the IT system scale, unlike competitors more often positioned solely on consulting or solely on technical integration.

Our dual expertise is deployed through dedicated teams in France, Morocco, and Poland, which allows us to offer international-scale clients a real capacity for deployment at scale:

  • Advice four core areas of business expertise: process performance (operational efficiency enhanced by AI), customer excellence (customer strategy and journeys), strategic and financial performance (management and governance), and technological performance (structuring and industrialization of Data, AI & Cloud foundations).
  • Microsoft technology more than 165 certifications, 4 «Solutions Partner» designations, and 2 «Advanced Specializations,» backed by a strategic relationship with the publisher that allows us to activate official Microsoft funding levers on your behalf and secure your investments.
  • FinOps Offer hybridization of consulting and technology, with teams dedicated to the financial performance of Cloud and AI, present across our three geographies, to transform your consumption into managed spending—right-sizing, tagging, continuous reporting.

If you recognize yourself in the need to make your data reliable, digitalize your processes, or structure your agentic strategy, or if you simply want to learn more, contact the Silamir experts to discover our approach, our teams, and what makes us different.
